The work is a drawing made with ink and pencil and it shows the human proportions in a geometric way and it is accompanied by two explicative texts. One is on the upper part of the drawing and one at the bottom, and they are both two passage from Vitruvio. The drawing is an homage to the classical thinking and it represents a relation between art and science. The “Uomo Vitruviano” was chosen by Carlo Azeglio Ciampi to appear on the 1 Euro coin.
